iphoneee
So Beth and I got new iPhones on Friday — I’d say we’re both pretty happy with them. I’m new to the whole smartphone arena but I’m loving internet everywhere and GPS that can orient you in the right direction. I went on a walk yesterday and tracked my distance, speed, etc. The camera seems to do a good job, I’ll have to post some pics and a video to show you. The only thing I don’t like is the battery life, having to charge it every day is a big different from charging about once a week with my old LG slider. Having push notifications on for Mail really sucks the battery I’ve noticed. I’ll have to post some pics that I have on my old phone; there’s a couple of pics on there that I wanted to post on here but never did.

In my Computer Architectures class we’ve been programming with assembly language on the MIPS architecture. I programmed with little guy to draw!!! The thing with assembly language, though, is that it took over 200 lines of assembly code to make that.
2 commentsBudget gaming rig guide
Saw this article on digg (or reddit? i don’t remember) about building a gaming rig that would run most current games with medium to high settings. Looks like one was built for around $503; pretty nice, though I think I would go with a nVidia card. This article makes me itch for a new system though I don’t really have a reason to build one at the moment. Left 4 Dead runs pretty well on the ol’ Inpsiron 1705. I think when Diablo 3/Starcraft 2 come out I’ll build a new rig.

1 commentTurning a PC into a Mac
Gizmodo has a nice little artical/review about a usb dongle you plug into your motherboard and it lets you run Leopard on your computer, really darn easy too by the sounds of it, just have to have Gigabyte motherboard and some other more generic hardware, and it shows up as a hard drive, lets you choose whether you want to boot into windows or osx, theyve got a vid up of it running and all that too, pretty cool imo
